The experience of feeling truly met by another person can lead to fresh perspectives, deeper self-understanding, and meaningful, lasting change.
About Me
My name is Sam, I'm a fully qualified UKCP registered psychotherapist based in Bath, Somerset.
I have been in private practice since 2018, helping people of all ages and backgrounds cope with life challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression, bereavement, and relationship struggles.

Before training as a therapist I worked as a writer, photographer, and communications director.
About My Practice
My practice is registered with the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I abide by the ethical codes of both institutions.
Sessions are held in a quiet, private space just a short walk from Bath Spa train station. I work mainly in person, though remote sessions can be offered in certain circumstances.
My Approach
I draw on different therapeutic tools and methodologies to fit the needs of each individual. My intention is to always remain open to whatever comes up in session, rather than be led by a particular process or technique.
I am interested in existential philosophy as a way of considering what it is to be human, creativity as a means of expressing difficult feelings, and mindfulness as a practical tool for living compassionately towards oneself and others.
